This beautiful mermaid surfing on a wave is a one-of-a-kind hand cut mosaic. When I bought this frame that looks like a porthole, I thought there had to be a mermaid in it! It is made with beautiful shades of turquoise and blue that match the distressed metal frame which hangs from a rope. It is made from glass tile, ceramic tile, stained glass and beads. The mosaic is 15 inches in diameter, and is 22 and 3/4 inches high from the top of the rope to the bottom of the mosaic. It weighs 3 pounds and 14 ounces. Wow! Wow! And…. We’ll, Wow! What a stunning frame. I can’t even begin to express the extent of my delight in this wonderful frame. The images (stunning as they are) simply cannot do this marvellously crafted artwork justice. The play of light on each piece of the mosaic is just breathtaking! Should you be questioning whether the cost and, if in the UK, the wait for shipping (which isn’t in fact that long!) is ‘worth’ it. Oh yes, MOST DEFINITELY!
