When conceiving this design, I was deeply inspired by the adventurous spirit and vibrant culture of the Pacific Islands. I wanted to create a cohesive and striking scene that brings together Moana and her entire crew—Maui, Pua, and Heihei—capturing their unique personalities in a single, dynamic snapshot. I decided to anchor them confidently on a rugged rock set against a glowing, geometric sun backdrop to symbolize their radiant energy and legendary journey across the ocean. Using a colorful, hand-drawn watercolor aesthetic, I framed the characters with lush tropical monstera leaves and delicate plumeria flowers to evoke that perfect summer vacation vibe. Ultimately, my goal was to craft a nostalgic yet empowering piece of art that makes a cozy Comfort Colors tee the perfect matching outfit for families making magical memories on their next getaway.
