There are 55 billion pages on the internet, and you found this book... maybe it's not by chance. A very rare hardcover 1st edition from the publisher of The Lesser Key of Solomon that has been exceptionally well-preserved (the nicest I have ever owned or seen). This is the only edition of this book I can locate with these cream-white covers designed by Ed Stevens. It also has the matching ISBN number and the descending publisher number line ending in 1 (1 denoting the first edition from the publisher).

These texts were derived from the British Museum's original manuscripts and microfilms dating back to the 14th century (the 1300s). This will be it if you are looking for the real deal. It also contains the Harley 6483 manuscript, which has all of the names, orders, and offices of the spirits Solomon conversed with. This is an unabridged (unshortened) edition (containing all five parts) and not the 134-page version commonly found. It may have never been read in a quarter of a century—a very clean printing.

I have owned more editions of this book than I can remember, but this binding is undoubtedly one of the rarest. It remains in stunning condition. Key Components:
Goetia—This first book deals with summoning and controlling 72 spirits of Solomon. Each spirit has specific seals, ranks, and functions.
Theurgia-Goetia focuses on aerial spirits, detailing how to conjure spirits that appear in the air or sky and providing methods for invoking them.
Pauline Art - Describes the art of communicating with angels for divine knowledge or assistance. It includes the "Pauline Circle" for summoning angels and the "Seal of God."
Almadel - Concerns the summoning of angels from four altars, each corresponding to one of the four cardinal directions and seasons. It's structured around the " Almadels " scrolls to attract celestial beings.
Ars Notoria - This part is less about magic and more about achieving wisdom and memory through invocation and prayer. It includes various orations and diagrams for enhancing intellectual capabilities.

This Book contains all the names, Orders, and Offices of all the spirits Salomon ever conversed with. The sales and characters belonging to each spirit and the manner of calling them forth. Some of these spirits are in Enock's Tables, which I have explained but omitted. This book describes how they may be known, their seals, and their characters. The Definition of Magick Magick is the highest, most absolute. Most divine knowledge of Natural Philosophy advanced in its works and wonderful operations by a proper understanding of the inward and occult virtue of things, so that true agents being applied to appropriate patients strange and admirable effects will thereby be produced; whence magicians are profound & diligent searchers into Nature; they because of their skill know how to anticipate an effect which to the vulgar shall seem a miracle. Origen saith that the Magical Art doth not contain anything subsisting, but although it should yet that must not be evil or subject to contempt or scorn; and doth distinguish the Natural Magick from that which is Diabolical. Tyaneus only exercised the Natural Magick, which allowed him to perform extraordinary things.

They encompass the Harley 6483 Manuscript, which provides comprehensive details on the names, orders, and offices of the spirits with which Solomon conversed. The Lemegeton is a popular handbook of sorcery known from the 17th century, in more or less the same form as found within the pages of this book. Most of the material, however, is found in varying forms in earlier manuscripts. Some of the material dates back as early as the 14th century or earlier 2 In a 1531 list of magical texts, Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa mentioned three of the books of the Lemegeton in the same breath, Ars Almadel, Ars Notoria, and Ars Paulina 3 The relevant passage is found in a chapter titled "Theurgia and the chapter which precedes it is titled "Goetia."5 Goetia and Theurgia Goetia are the names of the remaining books of the Lemegeton. This list was repeated by Agrippa's student, Johann Weyer (a.k.a. Wier or Wierus), in 1531. Reginald Scot, who relied to some extent on Weyer, does likewise. Weyer included a text closely related to the Gotia. Thus, the bulk of the materials could have been collected together before 1531.
The compiler probably invented the name Lemegeton naively because of their ignorance of Latin. They were undoubtedly familiar with the Clavicula Salomonis (Key of Solomon)8 and wanted to title this work the Little Key of Solomon; this became Lemegeton Clavicula Salomonis.
The significant texts used for this edition are all from the British Library's Manuscript collection. They include Harley MS 6483 and Sloane MSS 2731, 3825, and 3648.
Harley 6483 is cataloged as Liber Malorum Spirituum. Its description
reads as follows: A Quarto, containing all the Names, Orders, & Offices of all the spirits Solomon ever conversed with: the Seals & Characters belonging to each Spirit; & the manner of calling them forth to visible appearance. - Some of these spirits are in Enoch's Tables described in the former volume, but their seals & characters, how they may be known, are omitted, which are therefore in this book at large set forth.? Harley 6483 is probably the latest manuscript and contains much additional material, with extracts from de Abano's Heptameron replacing many of the instructions in Book 1 of the other manuscripts. It is handsomely written, with circles drawn around the sigils and Hebrew lettering supplied in many places. 10 It is dated 1712-1713. Note that Harley shares many readings with Sloane 3648. A dependence of both on a common ancestor can be established. Given the number of deviations from the majority.
Sloane 2731 is cataloged as Clavicula Salomonis. It is important because it has been compiled from multiple versions, including Sloane 3648.
