All plates are vintage and show gentle age-appropriate wear consistent with loving use. No chips or cracks noted unless specifically mentioned.

Color Note: To help prevent confusion, the Miss Purity White place card has been added to the plate photos. It is made from bright-white cardstock and appears in each selection photo as a helpful visual reference for comparing the plate's tone. Colors may vary by computer screen, home lighting types and individual cameras, so the card is a comparison guide rather than a guarantee of exact color reproduction in your home's setting. I personally take these white plate photos in the natural light of a north window on a richly stained wood table.

[A Little History on this Vintage Plate for Homer Laughlin Collectors:

The Republic shape was introduced by the Homer Laughlin China Company in 1915 and was modeled after the popular Ranson shape produced by the French pottery Haviland. Created in response to consumer demand, Republic featured an extensive assortment of pieces and a distinctive embossed rope-like rim that set it apart from similar dinnerware produced by other potteries of the era.

Production of the Republic shape continued for nearly fifty-five years. Early examples often featured a simple 18-karat gold rim with embossed detailing, though the shape was also used for a variety of floral decals and decorative patterns throughout the mid-20th century.

Today, the Republic pattern remains admired for its timeless scalloped silhouette, subtle embossed border, and versatility in both traditional and cottage-style homes. Its classic white finish layers beautifully with floral china, ironstone, and other vintage dinnerware, making it a wonderful choice for collectors and cottage-inspired decorating alike.

K - Washington Colonial manufactured by Vogue Pottery of Evansville, Indiana - 1945-1946 (8" salad plates in very good vintage condition) - very warm ivory color

L - White Swirl by Scio (1950's) Good Condition with some minor inconsistency in glaze...a few tiny bubbles, specks, etc.

M - Wedgewood Windsor, Made in England 1998 -2005 (Very Good Vintage Condition. There are a few tiny factory made glaze pinholes that have developed slight age-related discoloration. They are small, cosmetic only, and do not affect the beauty or usability of the plate. Please zoom in on photo.)

N - Devonshire by International Tableworks, Made in England 1992-1995 - 8" Salad Plate (Very Good Condition)

O - Mikasa Italian Countryside (1990s) Made in Malaysia (Very Good - a few light utensil marks, zoom in on photo)

P - P3 J&G Meakin, Sterling Colonial English Ironstone, Staffordshire England (1940s-early 70s) English Ironstone was originally patented in England to provide a strong, chip-resistant alternative to delicate porcelain for daily household use.
P - Tray 12.5 x 9.5 (Severe crazing, a few tiny specks) Perfect if you love a more aged appearance.
P2 - 10" dinner plates (I have one that is severely crazed, some with slight crazing and some with no crazing. If you have a preference, please message me.)
P3 - 7" dessert or salad plates. (Almost all have some faint crazing)
NOTE: Please zoom in on these plates. The crazing is there, but it isn't bold, so to see it better, please examine closely.
