Timex for Disney "Winnie the Pooh" quartz wrist watch, mint white metal dial with fancy brown Arabic style numbers accented with small yellow & black bees and a large representation of Winnie the Pooh in orange, red and black across the center of the dial, slender gold steel baton-style hands with pointed tips and a floating second hand depicted by four small black, yellow and white bees, yellow base metal (YBM) & stainless steel (SS) round smooth polish case with a multi-stepped bezel supporting the slightly domed glass crystal and slender curved extended lugs, case is showing normal light wear with a few small nicks and a bit of discoloration on the crown from normal wear, measures approx. 26mm in diameter x 32mm lug to lug x 9mm thick (crystal included), original brown leather band with small bees in different positions stamped along both lengths, the band is showing moderate wear and is starting to split apart on one length, we can replace it with a new black leather strap band at no charge on request. A very fun Winnie the Pooh watch from the 1990s with a desirable floating second hand in excellent overall condition!

• At PM Time Service, we refer to a "character watch" as any watch that has a dial, and possible other components, that have a cartoon character, public figure or a fictional character printed on them. There were many companies, such as US Time, Ingersoll and Timex, that were commissioned by the character-owner (such as Disney for example) to produce watches with these images, and in most cases, the characters watches were completed at the factory and not as an after-market addition. While most of the PM Time Service character watches are vintage, this type of watch is still in production today, albeit with updated quartz movements.

• Character watches were primarily targeted towards children and as such, a large number of the watches produced were of lower quality or "dollar watches" and were also considered ladies' or mid-sized. While the original focus group for sales may have been targeted at children and young adults, we do see many purchases today by adults for their own use. If you need a longer band than the one currently fitted to this watch (5in. to 6in. in overall length, including watch, for this particular item), please convo us with your desired length and we'll get you a quote on a replacement band. In most cases, you can also take the wrist watches to your local jeweler to fit you a new band as well.

• Quartz watches have been commonly found from the 1970's to today; they are excellent timekeepers and easy to maintain, but do not contain the mechanical (winding or self-winding) movements that most of our antique watches possess. This specific watch has been assessed for running and setting condition and is properly working as expected. With this type of movement, you can expect the watch to keep at minimum +/- 1 minute per week accuracy, with many quartz-movement watches keeping accuracy levels of +/- 1 minute per month or better.

• Prior to shipping, all quartz watches purchased from PM Time Service will have a new battery installed for you at no additional charge. Please anticipate an additional 1-2 day delay in processing your order for us to complete the battery update. While each watch will draw power of its battery differently, it is reasonable to expect that a fresh battery will last at least 1 year. When it is time for a new battery to be installed, you can either contact us for a quote on our current battery and return shipping charge, or most local jewelers will be able to assist you.
