A truly remarkable, large-scale specimen of early British pharmaceutical history!

This authentic vintage clear glass Dettol bottle is a rare find from a historic bottle dump tip, standing at an impressive 20 cm tall.

Designed during an era when antiseptic concentration had to be manually diluted at home, this bottle features prominent, crisp embossed lines tracking "TABLE SPOONS" running down the sides. What makes this piece exceptionally special is the inclusion of its original, intact black Bakelite screw lid, which is clearly molded on top with: "DETTOL - THIS CAP MEASURES 1 TABLE SPOON".

Decades spent resting underground have blessed the interior of this glass with a striking, radiant iridescent rainbow patina. When rotated in natural sunlight, the surface shimmers beautifully with mother-of-pearl hues.

All the bottles have been washed in soapy water, but a deeper soak might remove any stains / dirt I may have missed.
Having been buried for so long some may have small dinks & a few tiny scuffs/scratches, this is normal & just adds to the vintage character.
