Large Mid-Century Italian Modular Sectional Sofa by Europoltrona, c. 1980

Striking modular sectional sofa produced by Europoltrona, Italy, circa late 1970s to early 1980s. Defined by its sculptural low-slung silhouette and oversized rounded volumes, the design embraces the relaxed, architectural language of Italian postmodern seating. Deeply tufted backrests, generous proportions, and soft organic forms create a lounge-like presence from every angle. The original geometric upholstery in warm brown and cream tones creates a subtle optical effect that shifts depending on light and perspective, while the slim tubular chrome base provides a refined contrast to the softness of the upholstered forms.

Composed of multiple modular elements, the sofa allows for flexible arrangements while maintaining a cohesive sculptural appearance. The overall aesthetic recalls the modular seating vocabulary associated with Mario Bellini’s Camaleonda, though this example stands confidently on its own with a more architectural silhouette and distinctive upholstery. Manufacturer label by Europoltrona present underneath.

Good vintage condition with light age-related wear. Upholstery presents well throughout. Minimal variation in shade between some modules is present upon close inspection, though visually subtle and unobtrusive within the overall composition. Chrome base remains in good condition with expected signs of age and use.

PACKAGING

All of our items are thoroughly cleaned and carefully packed for shipping.

It is very important for us that the packaging has the same high-quality standard as the purchased item. Depending on the size and fragility of the item, packaging can be made in a heavy duty industrial cardboard box or a custom wooden crate packaging.
Freight items are packed on pallets.

We create custom packages to save unnecessary packaging waste and filling.
We use recyclable materials only.

We aim to ship products within 72 hours of receiving Your order. For bigger items and bulk orders, please allow up to 5-7 business days to safely handle and ship out Your order.

SHIPPING

Over 90% of our items are shipped to destinations in North America and Asia.
We offer premium worldwide shipping with tracking and insurance included in all shipping options.

All shipping costs are automatically calculated during the checkout process, once the quantity and destination has been selected. Due to custom packaging, shipping for combined orders is not always automatically calculated correctly. Please contact us for shipping quotes for combined orders, or proceed to order the items after which we will issue a partial refund if the shipping was overpaid.

All of our packages are insured or guaranteed for by us, provided that any proof of damage is delivered to us within 3 days of delivery. Any visible damages on the package must be photographed upon delivery or the insurance policy might not be valid.

POSTAL SHIPPING / EMS SHIPPING
Most of our items (chairs, armchairs, sofa modules, lamps, coffee tables etc.) are packed in packages up to 31,5kg / 70x70x100cm or equivalent and shipped as premium international air packages or EMS packages through the international state shipping carriers.

The packages are delivered locally by the domestic postal carrier of the recipient’s country.

Approximate delivery times for postal packages (based on year 2023.)
- USA / Canada = 7-15 business days after dispatch
- Asia / Middle East = 10-18 business days after dispatch
- EU/EEA = 5-10 business days after dispatch

If the order has not been delivered within 60 days from the dispatch date, a full refund for the shipping is issued.
If the order has not been delivered within 90 days from the dispatch date, a full refund for the order is issued.

Based on the years 2021.-2023., only one package per 650 packages is lost in transit (0,0015%).

FREIGHT SHIPPING
All oversized items that cannot be shipped or disassembled to ship in parts up to 31,5kg / 70x70x100cm or equivalent (sofas, seating sets, bigger sofa modules, beds, closets and larger storage cabinets etc.) air shipped via air freight shipping (overseas) or road freight shipping (EU/EEA).

All freight shipping options include curbside delivery with package unloading.
Additional services such as In-house/white glove delivery or disposal of the shipping materials can sometimes be arranged on demand and at an additional charge.

- Air freight shipping: 3-5 business days, delivery is scheduled with the import agent
- Road freight shipping (EU/EEA) – 2-8 business days, delivery day is announced prior to delivery.

DHL SHIPPING UPGRADE
Priority shipping via DHL can be found on checkout or quoted on request.
Estimated transit time for DHL shipping is 1-5 days for all destinations worldwide.

SEA FREIGHT/CONTAINER SHIPPING
For large orders of 50+ items, sea freight or container shipping can be offered in arrangement with the buyer.

CUSTOMS / IMPORT DUTIES

Overseas customers (outside EU) may incur import duties and taxes, which is charged to the buyer/recipient/importer.
Etsy collects VAT/GST/sales tax for some countries/states - if charged on checkout, it should not be charged again on delivery.

We offer trade / wholesale discount as well as discounts on larger orders.
EU trade professionals are required to purchase as business entities with valid VAT ID numbers to achieve trade discount.

RETURNS

Once you place an order with us, you have 48 hours after delivery to change your mind and notify us. Return the item(s) to us in identical condition (including, where applicable, original packaging) within seven days and we will be happy to offer a full refund. We do not cover the cost of returns and we do not accept liability if an item is damaged in transit back to us.

Buyers (private individuals) within EU have a 14-day return period for all orders, as per Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament.

Please note, we are unable to offer returns on sale items. All sales on discounted items are final unless the purchased item is proven to be faulty.
