Highlights
An exquisite, authentic mid-century Italian art glass paperweight handcrafted on the island of Murano, Italy, by the world-renowned furnace of Archimede Seguso. This piece features a beautiful, tightly packed concentric millefiori (thousand flowers) arrangement of multicolored star and flower canes encased in heavy, crystal-clear glass. This piece features the highly sought-after, intact blue-and-white paper export label on the base reading "Murano A.S. Made in Italy." This guarantees the prestigious Archimede Seguso origin and securely dates the piece to the 1960s–1970s. The glass displays a subtle, smooth organic wave running toward the top-to-middle section on one side. This is a classic artisan shear mark from the glassmaker cutting the hot molten glass away from the rod during production, serving as definitive proof of handmade heritage rather than modern machine production. This piece is in excellent vintage condition. The top dome is completely clear, smooth, and vibrant. The flat, polished base exhibits genuine, light micro-scratching (shelf wear) consistent with 50+ years of age. No post-production deep cracks, or repairs. There are two minor spots on the top that I can't capture with a photo, only feel to the touch.
Shipping Protection: Each piece is first wrapped to protect the finish, followed by at least two layers of heavy-duty bubble wrap. We use 2-3 inches of high-density cushioning on all sides to prevent movement during transit.
