2027 Wall Calendar: 11" x 17" Medieval Bonnacon Mythical Pooping Beast

Printed in full, vivid colour from public domain imagery of Medieval illustrations, each month of our calendar features a different scene depicting the Bonnacon. Being at a loss for words when attempting to describe the Bonnacon, we turn to Pliny the Elder (author of the world's first Natural History Encyclopedia, & arguably one of ancient Greece’s most brilliant writers). Says Pliny: “There are reports of a wild animal in Paeonia called the Bonnacon, which has the mane of a horse, but in all other respects resembles a bull. Its horns are curved back in such a manner as to be of no use for fighting, and it is said that because of this it saves itself by running away, meanwhile emitting a trail of dung that sometimes covers a distance of as much as three furlongs (half a mile), contact with which scorches pursuers like a sort of fire.” Well. There you have it. We humbly offer our curated images of this mythical beastie, who would rather run away spraying fiery poops from its nether parts, than fight. We've all been there, haven't we?
