Highlights
This Pendleton Mills Beaver State Wool Blanket is a rare, Vintage, Mint Condition or "New Old Stock" example of the legendary Athabaskan Heritage Spirit Keeper Series from Interior Alaska. The blanket has immaculate original felt binding, no wool thinning, and clear commemorative leather numbering patches.
The designer was Athabaskan artist Monique L. Neyhart. The blanket features a striking color palette of turquoise, tan, brown, and red, meticulously woven into a reversible pattern where each side displays a different emphasis of the design. It was crafted under Pendleton’s historic "Beaver State" label in a standard robe size measuring 64" by 80". This specific release was highly exclusive and issued as a strictly limited run of only 300 individually numbered pieces, featuring a sewn-on commemorative leather tag verifying its production sequence. Included in its original box with the blanket are two booklets about the artist and the Doyon Foundation, which annually issues limited, numbered versions in this series.
This pattern was only issued once, and will never be used again. It has been stored, unopened until today, but never removed from its box. The displayed photos of the rug out of its box are courtest of the Doyon Foundation, as the contents of this box have never been out of the original shipping box. The rariety of this unique design and high-quality material make it a collectible item that will last for decades to come. Care instructions recommend dry cleaning only to maintain its appearance and longevity.
