One of the privileges of living in the PNW, particularly the Puget Sound, is getting to frequent Pike Place Market. For those who aren't familiar, it's an open and indoor market in Seattle with hundreds of stands for floral, produce, art, handicrafts, and other goods. The flowers always captivate me, and this season has been an incredible one for peonies. Even bunched together randomly in a simple vessel they are so breath-takingly lovely that I wanted to showcase their beauty forever.

I used a loose style in my pen work, opting for more flowing lines, with some precision and increased detail in specific areas to create a subtle path for your eye to travel around the piece.
