Vintage Cross Stitch Sampler on Tea Towel

This tea towel features a 1980s' cross-stitched sampler sewn (by me) onto a cotton tea towel with a lovely blue and pink floral design. The towel is 22-1/2 inches long and 17-1/2 inches wide. The cross-stitched sampler covers 12-1/4 inches by 9-1/2 inches on the center of the towel.
The linen sampler section has, "A true friend is a gift of God" and a flower design along with several birds, two angels, and some trees; it was stitched in pink, turquoise, green, brown and gold colors on linen. Please note that a little of the pink color bled onto the cloth when it was washed in warm soapy water before it was sewn onto the towel that has similar colors. Also, the background color of the linen sampler is very light beige, not as white as the white areas on the towel itself.
There is a hanging loop on the upper left corner of the towel, and this is an older design from Cath Kidston of London (it has a small label on the front lower right corner and two tags on the back, seen in picture 13). The sampler is linen and the towel is all cotton.
There are several small light stains, which are hard to see on the back and front, but please see picture 12. One stain is a small brown spot, about 1/4-inch in diameter, seen from both the front and back near the top. There are no holes, tears, fading, or fraying.
Please view all pictures, which are part of the description but note: The colors are a little darker and much prettier than the pictures show; it was hard to capture the correct shade of blue, pink, and turquoise. The linen sampler section is from the 1980s or earlier, and the towel was made in China. This cute embellished kitchen towel is pretty enough to display or line a basket with. It will be mailed in a water-resistant padded mailer.
