Vintage Japanese Folk Craft Miniature Village Figures Set, Showa Era Wood Dolls

A six-piece set of vintage Japanese folk craft miniature figures, found together at a local auction market in Japan.

Made with wood, bark, fabric, paint, and other natural materials, the group creates a small rural scene with travelers, a seated figure, a person holding a broom, and rustic sign pieces. Each piece has its own handmade irregularities and quiet character.

Three bases have handwritten markings: “43.5.23”, “43.5.26”, and “43.10.19-20”. These may refer to Showa 43, corresponding to 1968, but the exact maker, region, and original purpose are unknown. I have not treated this possible date as confirmed provenance.

APPROXIMATE SIZE
Each piece is roughly 5–10 cm wide, about 10 cm high, and around 5 cm thick. Display width is approximately 40 cm depending on arrangement.

CONDITION
Vintage condition with age wear, small marks, handmade variation, and delicate parts. One or two heads feel slightly loose but are not detached. Please review all carefully photographs and handle the pieces gently.

SHIPPING
The packed parcel is under 1 kg. Each piece will be wrapped separately with generous cushioning and shipped from Japan in a sturdy outer box. Shipping cost and delivery time depend on destination.

Please note that these are old handmade objects rather than new, factory-perfect items. Their irregular shapes, wear, and surface marks are part of their history and character.
