Vintage Valentino Garavani black handbag, RARE 80s 90s black basketweave bag with gold plated tassels, LegitGrails authenticated

This is a rare vintage Valentino Garavani handbag from the 80s 90s, most likely 90s. It has been authenticated by a third party - LegitGrails. I will include the certificate with purchase. It features a basketweave pattern in black leather and fabric. The hardware is stunning! Gold plated metal tassels can be found fastening the gold metal rope straps and also the zipper pull. The interior is a coveted luxurious red fabric with the Valentino “V”. A gold plate and the Valentino (Les Sacs) name can be found under the interior zipper pocket. Bags during the 60s-90s can often be found with only “Valentino” vs the “Valentino Garavani” found in later years. The bag measures about 9.5” across x 7” tall. The depth by measuring the bottom is about 2.25”. The strap drops are about 20”. This bag shows beautifully, but here are notes to vintage condition. The bag shows some minor wear on the lower edges outer trim and bottom where the bag sits. See photos. The gold plating also shows some fading. The leather around the inner zipper pocket also shows some minor wear. Overall, I note these things, but the bag is fabulous!!! The hardware and straps are heavy metal and you can feel the quality. The basketweave gives such a unique textured/quilted look. This bag is rare! The only comparison I found was selling in the $1400 range. I just want this to go to a good home!
