My handmade leather mule keychain features a dimensional hand-painted longear mule head, individually formed and finished by hand in my East Texas leather workshop.

Because I couldn't make all those horse keychains and forget about the longears!

Each mule begins as vegetable-tanned leather that I hand cut and wet form to create the dimensional shape of the face and muzzle. The mule is then individually hand painted, given sparkling crystal rivet eyes, sealed for durability and finished with a sturdy metal split key ring.

And, of course, every mule gets those unmistakable long ears.

EACH MULE HAS ITS OWN PERSONALITY

These are individually painted rather than mass produced, so your mule will be similar to those pictured but no two will be exactly alike.

Mules are painted in traditional brown tones and may feature different facial shading and markings. Some have lighter mealy-style muzzle markings while others may have darker coloring.

That variation is part of what makes each handmade mule its own little character.

Mule head: 1.5 inches wide × 3.5 inches tall, not including the key ring.
