ABOUT SPINOSAURUS

Spinosaurus could SWIM! It's the only known dinosaur fully adapted to a semi-aquatic lifestyle. Spinosaurus was MASSIVE - growing up to 50-60 feet long, which is longer than a semi-truck trailer! It weighed around 7-8 tons. The first Spinosaurus fossils were discovered in Egypt in 1912 by German paleontologist Ernst Stromer - but tragically, those original fossils were destroyed during a WWII bombing raid on Munich in 1944.
