Illumination entirely made by hand, inspired by the decorative arts of the Orient, between Persian and Ottoman traditions, as found in ancient manuscripts.
This type of ornament, between Turkish tezhip and Persian tazhib, once accompanied precious texts, where floral motifs and symmetrical compositions served to highlight the page.
Gold watercolor and deep green gouache paint on 300g paper dyed with tea to give it a light patina.
