*All of my files are originally created in Adobe Illustrator as Vector Images and Saved at the highest quality resolution 300 DPI. Vector images are clearcut lines unlike pixelated raster(photo) images.

It is important to have knowledge of how to use the files and selecting the right file type for your projects. Selecting the wrong format can cause quality issues of the images.

*How to choose your right file type for projects:

PNG Files- Are raster images and have a transparent background and can only be scaled smaller not larger due to pixels calculated per size. Example: If file is scaled at 5x7 inches the image will blur expanding beyond 5x7 inches. PNG files are best used for Web graphics

JPG Files- Are raster images and do not have a transparent background and can only be scaled smaller not larger due to pixels calculated per size. Example: If file is scaled at 5x7 inches the image will blur expanding beyond 5x7 inches. JPG files are best used for Web graphics, Smart phone sharing and email.

SVG Files- Are scalable vector images and can be scaled larger or smaller without loss of quality of the image. SVG files are best used in cutting machines such as Cricut, Silhouette, Brother ScanNcut and Glowforge, Laser Cutting Machines, Logos, Illustrations and Editing Programs like Canva. Upload SVG files to Canva to change colors and then save to format preference per project.

EPS Files- Are scalable vector images and can be scaled larger or smaller without loss of quality of the image. EPS files can be used in editing software such as Adobe and Corel Draw. EPS files are best used for printing posters, brochures and printed material.

DXF Files- Are scalable vector images and can be scaled larger or smaller without loss of quality of the image. They are used primarily between 2d drawing models. Best used for 3d models and technical drawings, laser cutting machines, CNC machines.
