Antique Edwardian 9K Gold Hand Carved Buckle Ring, 1916 British Hallmarks

This antique buckle ring has real presence with its large buckle and wide, hand-carved foliate band. It's a beautiful rosy hue common to antique 9k gold and works well with other colors of gold. It's equally gorgeous on its own or stacked with other rings in your collection.

The buckle motif had been a favorite in British jewelry for decades by the time this ring was made, carried over from the Victorian fashion for symbolic, sentimental design. A buckle and strap represented a bond that couldn't be broken — given between lovers, friends, or family as a token of loyalty and lasting attachment.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition, with minor marks, and discoloration in keeping with general age and wear. The carvings are in great shape, with little sign of wear aside from in the back, where they have worn down slightly.
