Alocasia Black Velvet Pink Variegated – Tissue Culture | Gellies Club

Dive into the captivating world of Alocasia with the Black Velvet Albo/Pink Variegated. Its striking dark leaves and contrasting variegation make it a standout in any collection. As it matures, this Alocasia develops a robust, compact form that's highly sought after among collectors.

What You Receive

5-Pack Alocasia Black Velvet Albo/Pink Variegated tissue culture plantlets sealed in sterile culture media. Plantlets may range from newly established cultures to larger, well-rooted specimens depending on the production batch. Size and root development will vary — this is normal for TC and not an indicator of plant health.

How Gellies Works

We operate on a made-to-order import model. When you place your order, we bring your plants in fresh from our lab partners in Asia. Plants ship from Florida shortly after arrival, minimizing storage time and helping ensure healthy, vigorous cultures. We import weekly, allowing us to offer fresh tissue cultures without long-term holding periods.

For Growers and Resellers

Alocasia Black Velvet Albo/Pink Variegated sees strong demand due to its unique color contrast and compact growth. Tissue culture plantlets provide an efficient way to meet market needs, offering scalability and uniformity in your inventory.

Acclimation

When transitioning Alocasia from tissue culture, maintain 70-80% humidity, warm temperatures, and bright indirect light. Gradually reduce humidity over two weeks, ensuring good airflow. Be cautious of corm rot; avoid overwatering until active growth is observed. Given its variegation, provide slightly more light than typical Alocasia for optimal coloration.
