The LIV Silk Summer Top is light, polished and easy to wear — the kind of handknit that slips naturally into warm-weather outfits. In the photos, the sample is worked in a fresh aqua green shade with smooth stockinette texture, a softly open neckline, neat sleeveless shoulders and a ribbed hem that sits cleanly over linen trousers.

This knitting pattern is worked top-down in one piece and entirely without seams. You begin at the neckline, shape the shoulders with elegant raglan increases, work the front and back flat with I-cord armhole edges, then join everything in the round for the body. The finish is simple but refined: subtle ribbing at the neckline and hem, smooth stockinette through the body and a flexible bind-off so the top slides comfortably over the hips.

The recommended silk-cotton blend gives the fabric a gentle summer drape. It is close-fitting with a little ease, and the length can be adjusted by knitting more or fewer body rounds before the hem.
