My boys picked every feature on this treehouse, and then our whole family built it together.

This instant PDF plan walks you through the same sturdy elevated platform, customizable to your kids' wish list and expandable later.

Before we cut a single board, we sat down and made a plan, and they told me everything they wanted it to have: a rock wall, a pulley and bucket, a ladder, a sand pit. Then the whole family pitched in. Plan on a couple of weekends, and bring everyone, because the kids can help build it. It's made to last for decades: a 6 ft × 6 ft elevated platform on four posts set on concrete block footings, beside the tree instead of bolted into it, with railings, a climbing wall and an angled ladder, plus optional extras like the pulley and bucket, a sand pit and a ninja line. It also grows with your kids. You can add a second or third platform, a roof, or a swing set later. Ours already has a swing set on the request list, and the boys can't wait to paint it. The photos in the plan show the real treehouse in our yard.
