Orders totaling of least $35 qualify for free standard shipping. We ship via USPS. Due to agriculture regulations, we do not ship to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands.

Track your order and bring your package in as soon as possible! Your plants will be traveling in a dark, dry box for many days, so please open your package and water them immediately. Please note that plants need time to acclimate to new environments and need a few days to open up and stretch their leaves out. If you should have any issues regarding plant health, please contact us within 72 hours of receipt. Please note that we do not offer refunds or replacements due to frost damage.

T. tectorum is a lithophytic bromeliad native to Peru and Ecuador. It is found within high elevations among the rocky cliffs of the Andes. The leaves are covered in long, white, velvety trichomes, which capture water and nutrients from the air. This fuzzy plant favors a dry climate and very bright light. It grows well indoors, close to a window. The inflorescence is soft pink with tubular violet flowers. Pups may emerge at the base of the plant.

Measurements given are for the diameter of the plant. Tillandsia orders come with a care card.

Light: High light. May tolerate direct sunlight. Avoid super hot or intense afternoon light.
Water: Quickly dunk or thoroughly spray, then shake out any excess water and allow good air circulation. Soaking too long may discourage fuzzy growth.
