CHOOSE YOUR SIZE:
Recommended sizes are listed below, but custom sizes are available. When choosing the size, consider where it will be displayed, the distance of the viewers and also the added dimensions of the mat and frame. Larger sized paintings will show off the animal's details more clearly, but I'm an accomplished miniature artist, so even if you choose a small size it will look great! The larger the portrait size you choose, the more detail can be included. 8" x 10" size and smaller are recommended for small pets, or just a head and shoulder view. Consider your pet's size when choosing your portrait size....these are stunning when the pets are depicted life size or larger! Larger sizes, or portraits on stretched canvas are also available, contact me.

CHOOSE YOUR PHOTOS…I can help you with your selection if you are unsure. My portraits are highly custom paintings, and include changing the background or choosing a color scheme of your choice. I can work from several photos for reference, so don't worry if your favorite snapshots aren't perfect. Send some jpeg photos of your pet and tell me about his personality! Once I have a look at your photos, we'll share our thoughts and ideas and I’ll answer any questions you may have.

THE INTERACTIVE PAINTING PROCESS...
Once you have placed your order, I’ll create rough layouts which will help you visualize and choose your final composition. As I paint your pet, I‘ll include you in the creative process by sending images of the portrait in progress for you to approve. Working together this way, we’ll make sure that all the details (composition, personality, eye and fur color, etc.) are perfect! It’s fun to see your portrait come to life!

DELIVERING YOUR ARTWORK!
When the painting is finished and approved, I’ll carefully package, insure and ship it out to you! Sizes 11" x 14" and under will include an archival, single white mat and backboard, and will be shipped flat. Paintings 16" x 20" and larger will be shipped carefully rolled in secure mailing tubes. Notes: Portraits that involve multiple subjects, or rush jobs will entail added charges. Completion time depends on how many commissions I have lined up. If you need artwork for a holiday gift, please order early to avoid disappointment…it gets super busy by mid October! Usually I can finish in a week...complex and larger projects may take more time.
