Axolotl Quilt Pattern, Kids Wall Hanging Quilt Pattern PDF, Easy Applique Quilt for Beginners, Raw Edge Fusible Applique

🌸 Welcome to WildbloomQuilts - bold, colourful folk-art quilt patterns for makers who love vivid, joyful projects. 🌸

⚠️ TECHNIQUE - PLEASE READ FIRST: RAW-EDGE FUSIBLE APPLIQUE
This is a raw-edge fusible applique pattern. The templates print at FINISHED SIZE with NO seam allowance and NO dashed turn-under lines, and they come as numbered full-size layout sheets - not as separate cut-out pieces. You trace each shape onto paper-backed fusible web, iron it to your fabric, cut on the drawn line, peel, press it in place, and stitch over the raw edge with a blanket or narrow zigzag stitch. Paper-backed fusible web is required. This is NOT a turned-edge / needle-turn pattern, and there are no dotted seam-allowance lines to turn under.

This joyful axolotl bursts across a deep midnight navy background like a living firework, its round smiling face rendered in vivid hot pink, crimson, and purple, with feathery external gills fanning out in fiery orange and red. Bold white eyes give the little creature an irresistibly cheerful expression, while sunny golden legs and jagged blue gill tufts add playful contrast to every corner of the design. The body sweeps into a glorious rainbow tail, striped in every colour of the spectrum from red and orange through sunshine yellow, grass green, aqua, and deep violet, all outlined with cheerful raw-edge texture that is pure folk-art delight. Scattered hexagon bubbles drift across the dark background like underwater gems, grounding this fantastical creature in its watery world and making the whole composition a pure celebration of colour and character.

Every pattern in this shop is my own work, from the first line to the last page. I draw each design by hand as an original vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator, then develop it into a ready-to-sew applique pattern - every cutting line, every fabric colour, every template page and instruction. Each one takes time and a lot of care, and I hope that comes through when you stitch it.
