ABOUT THE ARTWORK
White poppies float on a gold ground - attributed to Ogata Korin's Rinpa school circle, where flowers were not botanical studies but pure decoration in the best sense: rhythm, repetition, and empty golden space. This is the aesthetic that later inspired Klimt and Art Nouveau. As a wide horizontal piece it fits beautifully above a sofa or bed.
