Highlights

Sand Burrow Cave Aquarium Decor – Hidden Fish Hideout & Aquascape Ledge

Give your fish a cave that disappears into the landscape. This 3D printed aquarium cave is built to be buried — pour sand or gravel straight over the shell and only the open burrow mouth and the front edge stay visible. The result reads as a natural riverbed with hollows worn underneath it, not as a tank with an ornament dropped into it.

Underneath, the whole shell stays open. Shrimp, betta, tetras and other small fish drop in through the round entrance, pass beneath the arch and shelter in the shaded chamber below. The raised back edge holds substrate in place at the same time, so you can build a sloped sand terrace and get real depth into a small tank.

Smooth eroded-stone texture and a clean matte finish keep the exposed edges sculptural and quiet — natural enough to vanish into sand, gravel or a planted layout.

FEATURES

Buried-cave design — cover it with substrate, only the openings show
Round burrow entrance plus an open arch pass-through
Doubles as a substrate retainer for raised sand terraces and slopes
Large shaded chamber for shrimp, betta, fry and shy fish
Natural eroded rock texture with a clean matte finish
Handmade in the USA on demand, printed in aquarium-safe PLA
Lightweight, non-toxic and easy to rinse and place
Suitable for aquariums, shrimp tanks & terrariums
Available in XS, S, M, L, XL

📐 SIZE OPTIONS

XL — 10.00 x 8.22 x 5.20 in (254.00 x 208.76 x 132.11 mm)

Tip: place it against the back or a corner of the tank, then pour substrate over the top and up to the front edge. The burrow mouth stays open and the cave underneath does the rest.

⚠️ Please note: This item is 3D printed to order, so minor layer lines or small surface variations may be visible. These are normal and don't affect function or durability. Please rinse before placing in your aquarium — do not clean with soap or chemicals.

I can’t recommend this product or seller enough. I had a problem with a similar item on Amazon and I needed a replacement that was the right color. Not only did they help me figure out what color to use, but even reprinted one for me!

This is the 2nd item I have bought from this store. My loaches absolutely love this cave. The extra entrance stood out a bit too far so we trimmed it down some but otherwise this cave is amazing.

Response from Mel

Thank you so much for coming back for a second one! 😊 I’m so happy your loaches are loving the cave. I really appreciate the feedback on the extra entrance too — and I’m glad you were able to make it work perfectly for your setup! 💚
