💚 The Story Behind the Design
Some plants are admired for their flowers, but the smoke bush captivated me for its atmosphere.

In early summer, the smoke bush begins to bloom. After the tiny flowers fade, thousands of delicate flower stalks remain, forming soft pink clouds that seem to float around the tree like drifting smoke.

For several evenings, I found myself returning to the same tree, simply to linger beneath it and admire a composition created by nature itself. Each time, I left carrying a little more of its quiet atmosphere back to my studio.

As I arranged the botanicals on the silk, I hoped to preserve the feeling of standing beneath that tree. The branches were placed to follow the tree's own natural rhythm, leaving quiet spaces between them, just as I remembered. The delicate flower stalks dissolved into soft botanical textures, allowing the silk to capture something more elusive—the quiet breath of a smoke bush woodland.

The background was hand dyed with several natural dyes, blended layer by layer to create a gentle smoky blush. Its shifting tones remind me of the smoke bush glowing beneath the warm streetlights at dusk, giving the entire piece a dreamlike softness.

Printed on luminous mulberry silk satin, this scarf can certainly be worn, but I especially love it displayed as botanical textile art, bringing the quiet atmosphere of a misty woodland into your home.


❤️ Care
Gently hand wash separately in cool water with pH-neutral detergent. Please do not soak or bleach. Dry in the shade and iron on a silk setting if needed.
