Custom Dog Portrait from Photo, Dog with a Giant Stick at the Front Door, Cottage Garden Illustration, Digital Prints, Printable Wall Art

A personalized dog portrait, digitally illustrated from your photo: your proud dog at the open door, holding the day's best stick sideways, unaware it isn't going to fit.

Send us a clear photo and we'll illustrate your dog into this vintage-style scene. The blue door, the doormat, and the sunny garden beyond stay just as you see them, and the champion returning from the stick library becomes unmistakably YOUR dog, carrying over their true coloring, eye color, and essential markings. The sideways trophy and that big stick energy are part of the design. The dog is all yours.

Part of our Heirloom Tails collection:
They're wild. They're wonderful. They're yours.
A personalized, vintage-style digital artwork celebrating the silly little quirks that make your pet unmistakably your baby. Because the dog who has never once measured a doorway and never once doubted is exactly the one you want on your wall.

Your portrait is a one-of-a-kind artistic rendering, not a photographic copy. We capture the essence of your dog: the true coloring and the essential markings that make them recognizable at a glance, interpreted in this collection's vintage, painterly style. And because it's created from your photo, for you alone, no other artwork like it exists anywhere in the world.

WHO IT'S FOR
Perfect for fetch professionals and their staff, proud dog moms and proud dog dads, mudroom and entryway walls, gotcha days, birthdays, and any home where good sticks come to live. It's also a heartfelt way to honor the dog who brings home the good stick, every time.

IN LOVING MEMORY
When a pet is gone, it's often the ordinary moments we miss most: where they waited, where they slept, the one thing they did every day without fail. This scene holds one of those moments. For a pet who is no longer with you, it becomes a memory portrait of who they really were, bright and a little bit silly, in the place that was always theirs. A tribute to their life and all the little moments in it.

Only have older photos? Send the best few you have, up to 4, and we'll look closely at every one before we begin. If they can't carry enough detail, we'll tell you honestly before any work starts. Not sure? Message us before you order.

If this portrait is in memory of your pet, just mention it in your order notes.

WHAT YOU GET
A made-to-order, high-resolution digital file of your finished portrait, print-ready at 8x10, 12x15, 16x20, and 24x30 inches, right up to the largest size we offer as art prints. The file also fits the standard European 40x50 cm frame with no cropping. Printing at 11x14? Your print shop simply trims a hair to fit. Nothing for you to do. This is not an instant download: every portrait is made individually from your photo.

For Christmas, order by December 17, or by December 21 with our Rush upgrade. Your finished portrait arrives by December 22.

PERSONAL USE: Your portrait is yours to print, frame, gift, and share on social media. The artwork design, scene, and style remain the copyright of Retro Reverence, so the file may not be resold or used for commercial products (merchandise, print on demand, or resale prints).

CHOOSING YOUR PHOTO
Your photo tells us how your dog LOOKS: coloring, eye color, and essential markings. The pose and scene come from the artwork. A great photo makes a great portrait, so please check these six things:

• FACE THE CAMERA: both eyes, the full muzzle, and both ears visible. (A three-quarter body turn is fine, as long as the face itself is toward the lens, not turned away.)
• SHARP: zoom in on the face: if you can't see individual fur strands, retake it. No motion blur.
• BRIGHT, NATURAL LIGHT: daylight or window light. No dim rooms, lamp glow, or flash; we need your dog's true colors.
• CLOSE, BUT NOT CROPPED: near enough to see facial detail, with the whole head, ears, and chest still in frame.
• THEIR NATURAL LOOK: no costumes, outfits, or accessories. (Collar on or off in the artwork? Tell us at checkout.)
• THE ORIGINAL FILE: full-size, straight from your phone. No screenshots, filters, or photos texted between phones (texting shrinks them).

ABOUT OUR PROCESS
Every scene in our shop is an original design, digitally illustrated in a vintage, painterly style. Placing your dog into it isn't a one-click trick: our own custom-built studio software uses AI-assisted compositing to fit your dog into the artwork, and then a real designer takes over: checking your dog's markings and colors against your photos, retouching in Photoshop where needed, and approving every portrait personally before it reaches you. The technology speeds up the process; the judgment, corrections, and finishing are human.

FAQ

Q: Will it actually look like my dog?
A: We capture your dog's essence: true coloring, eye color, and the essential markings a friend would recognize them by, interpreted in our vintage style. It's an artistic rendering, not a photographic replica. If anything looks off, message us; tweaks are included.

Q: Can this be a memorial portrait?
A: Yes, many families choose this design to honor the dog who always found the biggest stick in the park. See the IN LOVING MEMORY section above for how we handle older photos, and message us anytime before you order.

Q: What if I want changes to my portrait?
A: Just message us with what you'd like adjusted. Up to two rounds of tweaks are included free, and each round takes about 24-48 hours.

Q: My dog is tiny / my dog is huge, will this work?
A: Beautifully, the scene adapts to every size of dog, and the stick scales with the confidence.

Q: What photos work best?
A: See CHOOSING YOUR PHOTO above and the visual guide in the listing images. When in doubt, upload a few and we'll pick the winner.

Q: Can you do two dogs?
A: This doorway fits one stick and one champion best. Every portrait in our shop stars a single pet. Two pets? Two portraits hung side by side make a wonderful pair.

Q: How fast will I get it?
A: Your finished portrait arrives within 3 business days of your order, often sooner. One caveat: if your photos don't pass our quality check, we'll message you right away for replacements, and the timeline starts once usable photos arrive. Need it faster? Add our Rush upgrade to your cart for delivery within 1 business day of your order.
