Hand spun textured art yarn, spun from the following mix:
approx: 10% Shetland (some white, some grey), 80% Merino, 10% Sari silk
All Shetland and Merino wools are dyed with various plant dyes as following:
Nettles (Khaki green)
Indigo (light and darker blues)
Indigo & Onion skins (greens)
Indigo (blues)
Oak leaves (beige and grey)
Weld (brighter yellow)
Logwood (purple)
Walnuts (dark brown)
Salmon red (madder root)
Chlorophyllin (pastel green)

The sari silk is multi coloured, although predominantly it is a yellow rainbow colour-way. Sari silk is recycled from the weaving industry, as mill ends that are cut off the looms, then carded up to make hand spinning fibre. I have blended all of the above on my drum carder before hand spinning this 2 ply yarn. There are lumps and bumps and stacks added to the yarn in the spinning to give as much interest as possible.
Approx. 11 yards per 25g, (10.5m) taken over the entire skein and subdivided. The skein in the picture weighs 700grams. I will be selling this in increments of 25grams. If you purchase more than 1x25g, I will wind it off the larger skein in one continual yarn ball.
Postage is always combined, and although Etsy postage calculator isn't always accurate, I will refund any overages immediately after dispatch. Please message me any questions. USA tariff is paid by me and postage is adjusted to cater for that.
