SILVER LEAF PHILODENDRON
Philodendron brandtianum • Brandi Philodendron

OLIVE GREEN HEARTS WASHED IN METALLIC SILVER

Philodendron brandtianum is a collector aroid with foliage that seems almost mineralized. Heart-shaped leaves develop in olive and deeper green beneath irregular fields of silver, with each leaf carrying its own balance of metallic pattern and living green tissue.

Young foliage is already distinctive, but the plant becomes increasingly impressive as it climbs and matures. New leaves add fresh variations of silver, while the vine develops the graceful vertical rhythm characteristic of a climbing Philodendron.

A CLIMBER BY NATURE

Brandtianum can trail while young, but vertical support reveals more of its natural character. A moss pole, plank or trellis gives the stems a direction to climb and presents individual leaves separately, allowing the silver patterning to become the focus.

Supported growth can also encourage increasingly mature foliage as the plant establishes. Against dark aroids, burgundy leaves, warm wood or simple ceramics, its cool metallic markings are especially striking.

THE SILVER PATTERN

No two leaves need to develop identically. Some carry broad silver fields, while others reveal finer mottling against olive green. New foliage contributes another individual composition to the vine.

Choose your preferred available selection from the dropdown. An option specifically labeled with Trellis includes that support; pot measurements refer to the nursery container rather than total vine length.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

One live, rooted Philodendron brandtianum in the selected option, grown in its nursery container with growing medium. Your plant will have its own leaf arrangement, vine development and silver-to-green pattern.

CARE FOR BEAUTIFUL GROWTH

Light
Provide bright, indirect or filtered light. Protect foliage from prolonged harsh direct sun.

Water
Water thoroughly when the upper portion of the growing medium begins to dry, then allow excess water to drain freely.

Growing medium
Use an airy, well-draining aroid mix with coarse structure around the roots.

Humidity and warmth
Moderate humidity and warm indoor conditions support attractive growth. Protect from frost and cold drafts.

Growth and propagation
Guide developing stems onto support or allow them to trail. Healthy stem sections containing a viable node can be propagated as the vine matures.

ARRIVAL & ACCLIMATION

Unpack promptly, check the growing medium and place the plant in suitable indirect light. Allow it time to settle before repotting or making major care changes.

Philodendrons are not safe to ingest. Keep out of reach of pets and small children.
