Aglaonema Siam Aurora Live Plant, Red-Edged Chinese Evergreen

AGLAONEMA SIAM AURORA
Crimson outlines. Deep green leaves. A beautifully vivid indoor accent.

Aglaonema Siam Aurora brings richly colored foliage to an elegant, upright houseplant. Red-to-pink margins trace the leaves, vivid midribs lead the eye through each blade, and warm pink stems create a graceful contrast with the green canopy. The effect is intricate at close range and immediately striking across a room.

Also known as Red Siam Aglaonema or Red Chinese Evergreen, Siam Aurora is grown for foliage that offers lasting visual interest without relying on flowers. Its color is not confined to a single spot: it follows the edge, travels through the center of the leaf and continues into the supporting stems.

A LINE OF COLOR AROUND EVERY LEAF

The red edging gives the foliage a finely finished appearance, outlining its pointed shape against deeper green tissue. A strongly colored midrib adds a second line through the blade, creating definition even where the leaf surface remains predominantly green.

Across an established canopy, these individual outlines repeat at different angles. Some leaves reveal stronger pink or red markings; others contribute quieter green areas that give the warmer colors room to stand out. The result is a layered composition rather than one flat shade.

That pattern makes Siam Aurora a particularly beautiful contrast to silver foliage, plain green leaves and softer rounded forms. A simple planter allows the leaf edges and pink stems to remain the focus.

DEVELOPING A FULLER SPECIMEN

Young plants have an open, upright silhouette that reveals the relationship between foliage and stems. As new leaves emerge and clustered growth develops, the canopy gradually becomes fuller while retaining its individual red-edged outlines.

This progression offers something to enjoy at each stage: the clear structure of a younger plant, the overlapping foliage of an established specimen and the fresh detail introduced by each emerging leaf. Give the plant room to develop naturally and appreciate how its balance of color changes with maturity and growing conditions.

CARE FOR BEAUTIFUL FOLIAGE

Light
Bright, indirect light supports balanced growth and rich coloration. Moderate indoor light is tolerated; protect the leaves from prolonged harsh direct sun.

Water and growing medium
Water thoroughly when the upper portion of the mix begins to dry, then let excess water drain. Use a loose, aerated houseplant mix in a container with drainage. Perlite, pumice or orchid bark can help maintain an open structure around the roots.

Warmth and humidity
Keep in warm indoor conditions, protected from frost and cold drafts. Ordinary household humidity is generally suitable, with moderate humidity supporting tropical growth. Choose a stable position away from direct heating or cooling vents.

Upkeep
Gently wipe dusty leaves to reveal their natural finish. Feed during active growth according to the fertilizer label and allow emerging foliage to unfold without interference.

YOUR SELECTION

Choose your preferred size from the dropdown. Each purchase is for one live Siam Aurora in the selected option. Our photographs illustrate plants at different stages of development; your selection will have its own leaf arrangement, fullness and balance of green, red and pink.

Unpack promptly, check the growing medium and provide a stable position with bright, indirect light while the plant settles in. Allow time to acclimate before repotting or making major care changes.

For ornamental use only. Aglaonema contains calcium oxalate crystals; keep foliage away from pets and children who may chew or ingest it.
