three procreate color by number kits in one bundle: citrus halves laid out on a white table, kiwi slices tumbling down a mustard yellow wall, and two grapefruit cocktails in hard summer sun. 👋

the shop's whole fruit shelf in one go: 68 colors and 1,743 pieces across the three kits, and every number in this listing was read out of the files you are buying.

one person makes these. I pick the pictures, set each kit up by hand, run it through software I wrote, and read every layer before it ships.

made for procreate, and it works the same in fresco, clip studio and krita. set the line art as your reference layer, add a layer underneath, and color drop straight into it: the color lands on your layer and the lines stay crisp. when you're finished the numbers switch off, and so do the outlines, so what's left is a painting rather than a coloring page.

THE NUMBERS (so you know before you buy)

• citrus halves: 25 colors · 440 pieces · paints at 8 x 8 in at 300 dpi (2400 x 2400 px). not one piece is smaller than a size-0 brush tip.

• kiwi slices: 19 colors · 410 pieces · paints at 8 x 10 in at 300 dpi (2400 x 3000 px). 8 pieces are smaller than a size-0 brush tip.

• grapefruit cocktail: 24 colors · 893 pieces · paints at 8 x 8 in at 300 dpi (2400 x 2400 px). 18 pieces are smaller than a size-0 brush tip.

• all three together: 68 colors · 1,743 pieces. the 26 tiny pieces just mean pinch to zoom. I'd rather tell you now.

kiwi is the easiest start, citrus moves almost as quickly, and the grapefruit cocktails are the busiest picture in the shop. shortest sit to longest by real piece count: kiwi, citrus, grapefruit. the order is yours.

WHAT YOU GET (15 files: 3 kits x 5 files each, nothing to print)

every kit brings its own five:

• line-art.png: every outline on a see-through layer, drawn with hard edges so a color drop fills the shape and stops dead at the line.

• numbers.png: the numbers on their OWN see-through layer. switch it off when a region's done and the finished piece is just the painting.

• palette.swatches: a real procreate palette for each kit. import it once and that kit's colors are sitting in your color picker, in kit order.

• finished-art.png: what it looks like painted, to work from. it also sits at the BOTTOM of your layers, and that is the bit that lets the outlines go: a color drop stops at the line and never paints onto it, so hiding the line art would leave a pale hairline everywhere a line used to be. the picture underneath already holds the right color in exactly those places.

• read-me.png: a one page setup guide with a picture of the layer stack, written for someone who has never opened procreate. every tap spelled out, including the two at the end that take the numbers and the outlines away.

tap, hold, fill is one option, not the method: any brush in your procreate palette paints into the same numbered layers, so a watercolor or an acrylic brush works exactly the same way.

no printer, no markers, nothing to mix. if you have an iPad and procreate you already own everything you need.

instant download: your files are ready the moment you order, nothing ships.

MADE BY MEGAN (and what that means here)

• I choose the pictures and check each will survive being cut into flat colors before I build anything.

• I set them up myself. every kit is tuned by hand: how many colors, how fine the detail, how dark the lines sit, which two colors to merge when nothing could tell them apart.

• it runs on software I wrote. not an app I bought and not a website: I built it in python and I keep fixing it, kit after kit.

• then I read it. every layer of all three kits opened and checked, all 15 files.

so yes: the tracing and the numbering are computer-assisted, by a program I wrote and keep fixing. then I check and finish every kit by hand before it goes in the shop. I teach high school maths. after school I make these, one picture at a time. see every finished kit and the rest of the shop at hellopaintart.com.
