Stromanthe Triostar Live Plant, Pink and Cream Variegated Prayer Plant

Seller's description

STROMANTHE TRIOSTAR
Stromanthe thalia ‘Triostar’

A LIVING STAINED-GLASS CANOPY OF PINK, CREAM AND GREEN

Few foliage plants change so dramatically with the angle of light as Stromanthe Triostar. Elongated leaves carry irregular fields of forest green, cream and blush pink across their upper surfaces, while saturated rose-to-burgundy undersides create an entirely different palette beneath.

When light passes through the foliage, those layers interact. Pale variegation becomes luminous, pink tones intensify and flashes of burgundy appear as leaves shift position. An established Triostar can feel less like a single-color houseplant and more like a moving composition of several palettes at once.

THE PRAYER-PLANT MOVEMENT

Triostar belongs to the Marantaceae, the prayer plant family. Its leaves naturally change position in response to the daily light cycle, raising, lowering and subtly reorienting themselves through the day and night.

That movement reveals different portions of the richly colored undersides and continually changes the way the plant presents itself. The specimen is never visually static.

NEW LEAVES, NEW PATTERNS

Fresh growth emerges tightly rolled from the base before gradually unfurling. Each opening leaf reveals an individual arrangement of green, cream, white and pink, adding another unique pattern to the canopy.

As additional shoots develop from the base, the plant becomes increasingly full and layered. The upright stems give the foliage enough separation for individual patterns to remain visible even within a mature cluster.

SELECT YOUR PLANT

Choose your preferred available growth stage from the dropdown. Pot measurements refer to the nursery container rather than total plant height. The variation menu identifies relative development while the plant’s extraordinary foliage remains the focus.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

One live, rooted Stromanthe Triostar in the selected option, grown in its nursery container with growing medium. Your plant will have its own arrangement of leaves, fullness and balance of pink, cream, green and burgundy.

CARE FOR BEAUTIFUL GROWTH

Light
Provide bright, indirect or filtered light to support strong variegation. Protect the pale foliage from prolonged harsh direct sun.

Water
Maintain consistent moisture with good drainage. Water as the upper surface begins to dry, then let excess water drain freely. Where tap water is mineral-rich, low-mineral water can help preserve attractive foliage.

Humidity
Moderate to high humidity supports lush growth and helps the leaves remain at their best.

Growing medium
Use an airy, moisture-retentive tropical mix in a container with drainage.

Warmth
Keep comfortably warm and protect from frost, cold drafts and direct heating or cooling vents.

ARRIVAL & ACCLIMATION

Unpack promptly, check the growing medium and provide suitable indirect light, warmth and humidity. Allow the plant time to settle before repotting or making several environmental changes at once.
