FAQ

Q: Can I quote maintenance contracts with it?
A: Yes. Quote one visit, then multiply. The per-visit margin decides whether the contract is worth holding.

Q: How do I handle plants I mark up?
A: Enter your buy price as the unit cost. The margin solver adds your margin to everything, so marking up separately charges twice.

Q: Does this work in Excel and Google Sheets?
A: Both. Google Sheets: File > Import, or open and make a copy. Excel 365: open it directly. No macros, no add-ons, nothing to install.

Q: What is the service tier for?
A: It scales labor hours for work that is harder than routine. Standard is 1.0, Complex 1.15, Premium 1.30. Enter the hours a routine job would take and let the tier do the multiplying.

Q: I'm not confident with spreadsheets. Will I manage?
