WHAT IT DOES

• THE RATE YOUR YEAR ACTUALLY COSTS
Weeks off, the share of your time you can really bill, business costs and the tax you never keep. Put in the take-home you need and it gives you the floor: the minimum hourly rate that year costs. In the example, $42,000 take-home works out at $57.07 an hour — not the $45 the freelancer thought they were charging.

• EARNED PER HOUR ON EVERY PROJECT
Log your time and each project shows the quoted fee divided by the hours it really took, with a warning the moment it drops under your rate. Free pitches are counted too, which is the honest place for them.

• WHO PAYS, AND HOW SLOWLY
Type a client name once and their projects, hours, invoiced, paid, outstanding, average days to pay and share of your year all fill in. A client on 14-day terms averaging 47 days turns red.

• A CHASE LIST THAT BUILDS ITSELF
Due dates come from each client's own terms. Days overdue, days to pay and a tax pot are worked out on every invoice.

• HOW EXPOSED YOU ARE
One client above the share you set is flagged. Above roughly forty per cent you are not freelancing — you are employed by one company without any of the protections.

• It does not create or send invoices. No PDF, no email, no reminders. It records what you sent and what came back.
• It does not track time automatically. You type the hours, rounded to the quarter.
• It is not accounting software and it is not a tax return. The tax figure is a pot you set aside at a rate you choose — ask an accountant for the real thing.
• It does not connect to your bank, your email or any app.

It will not win you better clients. It will tell you, in numbers you can show someone, which of the ones you have are worth keeping.
