The figure is seen from behind, already facing the next set of waves. Wet sand mirrors the sky beneath his feet, creating a long reflection that pulls the eye from the foreground toward the horizon.

The surfboard provides the main burst of color. Its faded coral-pink surface stands out against the cooler blues of the ocean and the surfer’s clothing without breaking the calm mood of the scene.
