HOW THE GAME WORKS
Choose your player count and assign all eight core roles. For larger groups, add the optional characters in the supplied order.
Each player receives a private Character Dossier containing information, relationships and secrets known only to them.
During the investigation, new evidence and Round Cards are released in stages. Players compare testimony with documents, records and physical evidence while deciding what information they are willing to reveal.
Some characters may conceal their own secrets within the rules of the game. Every revealed piece of evidence remains binding.
At the end of the investigation, each player submits an individual accusation. The group then records its final verdict.
Only after the accusations are locked should the Sealed Solution be opened.
THE HOST CAN PLAY
The Blackglass Orchid is designed so the person preparing the game can participate in the investigation.
The spoiler-light Host Guide explains setup, timing and evidence releases without revealing the killer. The full solution remains separately sealed until the investigation is complete.
The eight core characters contain every deduction required to solve the case. Optional characters add social pressure, additional testimony and corroborating evidence while preserving the same solution.
