THE PAGE THAT LEAVES THE BINDER

It is called the go page, and there are 2 go pages in the book because one of them is meant to leave. One copy goes in the front of the binder. The other goes where somebody would look without being told: the fridge, the go bag, or the inside of the front door.

It holds what a person has to know in the first ten minutes. Who this is and what they answer to. What they have. What they take. What they are allergic to and what happens. Who decides for them if they cannot. Who to call, in the order to call them. What they can and cannot do unaided. And what would be misread as confusion by somebody meeting them for the first time.

It has a date and an initial box at the bottom, because a go page listing a medicine that was stopped in March is worse than no go page at all.

WHAT IS ON EVERY LOG PAGE

Date. Time. Who wrote the row. And the page number, printed at the foot.

You can see it in the photos before you buy. Twenty log pages, all built the same way, so you never have to decide what is worth writing down. The third column is the one no rival on this shelf prints, and it is the one that tells a stranger who to ask.

There are 3 month summaries. You fill one from the logs, write the page numbers it came from, and hand over that one page. Whoever reads it can check any line against the page it came off, and your binder stays in your house.

IT IS UNDATED, ON PURPOSE

Nobody schedules this. Printed dates would be wrong for almost everybody, so every page is undated and you write the date in the first column. That is the only thing about this book that is deliberately less convenient, and it is the honest choice.

PRINTING

Instant download after checkout. It prints on a home printer, it is readable in black and white, and the pages are mostly white so it does not drink ink. Print at 100 percent, or "actual size". If your printer offers "fit to page", turn it off, or the margins shift.

Print as many copies as you like. No watermark.

WHAT THIS IS NOT

It is not medical advice. It records what is, and it never says what should be done about it. No doses, no warning signs, no instructions for an emergency. What the doctor and the pharmacy tell you comes first, every time.

It never asks you to copy out a document. The legal and financial pages record where the original is kept and who to ask about it, not what it says. A binder holding the terms of a power of attorney is worth stealing. One holding "the original is in the green folder, second drawer" is not, and it is just as useful to the person who needs it.

It makes no claim about what any hospital, insurer, court or agency will accept. Those differ everywhere and they change.

It does not add up. Paper carries nothing from one page to the next, so every total on the month summary is one you write yourself, from the pages you name on it.
