HOW IT WORKS
1. Open Settings. Set your labor rate, overhead %, and the gross margin you want to keep.
2. Open Materials. Enter each purchase the way you buy it, and set yield % for anything that leaves scraps.
3. Open Item Cost. Name the item and say how many the batch makes.
4. Add materials from the dropdown with the quantity each item uses.
5. Read the right-hand block: total cost per item and your minimum price appear immediately.
6. Open Dashboard to see the cost mix and how margin moves with price.

Q: Does this work in Excel and Google Sheets?
A: Both. Google Sheets: File > Import, or open and make a copy. Excel 365: open it directly. No macros, no add-ons, nothing to install.
