On offer is a beautiful vintage, possibly antique Persian 'Ghalam Zani' lidded candy bowl featuring hand chased birds, flowers, and geometric motifs. We believe this piece to be copper although it could possibly be bronze; it has a very lovely rose gold hue. The dish is 5.5" in height, has a body diameter of 4.5", and weighs 1 lb 2 oz. In lovely all round condition, sturdy, and the lid fits exactly as it should do. We are uncertain of the age of this piece, it could date from the mid 19th century to the latter 20th century,. Judging by the depth of patina internally, it certainly appears to be of a good age. The fact that the base is also decorated indicates a fine high quality piece of Islamic art.
