🌸 Vintage “Exquisite” silverplate flatware set for 8 – International Silver, 1957

༺❀༻ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ༺❀༻

A beautiful complete vintage silverplate flatware service for 8 in the wonderfully elegant Exquisite pattern, introduced in 1957 by International Silver.

True to its name, Exquisite features graceful flowing lines accented with a delicate raised floral motif along the handles. The softly sculpted design has just enough ornamentation to make a table feel special while remaining refined enough for everyday dining. It is a lovely example of late-1950s American silverware design, blending mid-century proportions with romantic botanical detailing.

The polished silverplate has a wonderful reflective finish, and the dimensional floral decoration catches the light beautifully. An especially attractive pattern for anyone who loves vintage entertaining, traditional interiors, grandmillennial styling, or an elegantly collected table.

🌿 The pattern

Exquisite has a particularly graceful silhouette. Each handle is decorated with a sweeping botanical design culminating in a small raised flower, creating an almost Art Nouveau-inspired movement without becoming overly ornate.

The elongated lines are especially flattering on a formal place setting and coordinate beautifully with both antique and contemporary china.

Perfect paired with:

🌸 Floral porcelain
💙 Blue & white transferware
🤍 Classic white china
🥂 Crystal stemware
🕯️ Silver candlesticks and serving pieces
🌿 Grandmillennial and traditional table settings
