WHAT IS IN IT. Glyph Rain, Ember Rain and Ice Rain: falling characters in green, amber and cyan, each at its own pace and weight. Cold Boot and Fault Panel: a machine testing itself one key at a time, once coming up clean and once finding faults. Disk Check and Tape Load: labeled meters filling across every key at their own rates. Signal Lab and Test Bench: a wall of oscilloscopes, no two keys showing the same waveform. Core Dump and Memory Map: hex byte pairs scrolling up the deck. Cell Culture: a colony breeding and dying under the oldest rules in computing. Radar Watch and Night Watch: a sweep turning in every key with contacts flaring as the beam crosses them.

Seven genuinely different things to look at, not one design in fourteen colors.

DRAWN AS A REAL TUBE. Twelve levels of phosphor glow, a scanline between every pair of rows, a soft falloff towards the corners and a slow mains flicker under all of it. Nothing is ever drawn in the gaps between your keys, so no character, label or waveform is ever cut in half by the bezel.

Every other animated Stream Deck screensaver on the market is a video loop: somebody animated it once, exported it, and it plays out identically forever. These are simulations that were played through and recorded frame by frame.

WHAT YOU GET. 14 designs, 42 files — every design three times over, one render per deck, so whichever Stream Deck you own, and any you buy later, is already covered. The MK.2 and the original 15-key at 480x272, the XL at 1024x600 and the Stream Deck + at 800x480. Delivered as a download link in an illustrated guide, because the full-resolution set is far larger than Etsy allows as an attachment. The link does not expire and there is no account to make.

HONEST LIMITS. These are animated GIFs, so they need the Stream Deck app version 6.6 or newer. The Stream Deck MINI cannot display animations at all — that is the hardware, not these files, and it is better said here than discovered afterwards. Nothing here is affiliated with, licensed by or endorsed by Elgato; the artwork is original and drawn in code.
