PRODUCT OVERVIEW

GROWING GUIDE
Start seeds indoors about 8–10 weeks before the intended transplanting time. Sow in a clean seed-starting medium and keep it warm, around 27°C, while germination takes place. Give emerging seedlings strong, consistent light. Move established plants outdoors only after local frost danger has passed and the soil has warmed to at least 16°C. Harden seedlings gradually before transplanting.
Choose a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil and maintain regular moisture without waterlogging. Large containers are suitable when they provide drainage, adequate root space and consistent watering. Allow room for airflow and support stems if they become heavily loaded.
HARVEST AND USES
Harvest fruit when it reaches a useful size and remains firm. Eggplant is commonly cooked in curries, stir-fries, grilled dishes, stews and roasted preparations. Fruit form, colour, growth rate and harvest timing can vary with the seed lot, temperature, soil, moisture and local climate.
