AI Workbook for Teens, Artificial Intelligence Activities Ages 11-14 (PDF Download)

Ten parts building with AI properly: prompting, steering, testing, and
knowing exactly where the line sits on schoolwork. Ends with a project they
can explain. For ages 11 to 14.

INCLUDES A PARENT SETUP GUIDE
The guide at the front gives the current minimum age for ChatGPT, Gemini,
Claude and Copilot, including which need parental permission and which have
no consent route at all. It names two browser tools that need no account,
and covers the setup that keeps you inside every tool's terms.

WHAT YOU GET
- 47 page PDF, instant download
- 10 parts, about 45 minutes each
- Adult notes in every part, including when to stay out of it
- A build log they fill in as they go
- A certificate at the end

WHAT IT COVERS
- What these tools actually are, then finding the edges of what they know
- Lazy prompts versus specific ones, and giving a tool a role
- Running a proper experiment by changing one variable at a time
- Catching it inventing things, and testing whether its confidence
tracks accuracy
- Five turns on one prompt, and building a reusable template
- Building independently, then breaking it on purpose to test it
- Six real scenarios on academic honesty, their own rule, then arguing
against it

WHAT MAKES THIS THE OLDER VERSION
Students build on their own rather than alongside an adult, test their own
work properly, and write down one thing they are choosing not to fix and
why. The honesty section asks them to write the strongest argument against
their own rule, which is the only way to find out whether they can defend
it when a teacher asks.

HOW IT WORKS
No schedule and no start date. Do one part on a rainy Sunday, three over a
holiday, or one a month. Nothing expires. Most students this age work
through a part alone and talk it over afterwards.
