This spectacular custom made mid century modernist natural lavender jadeite jade cabochon and sparkly diamond 14K gold ring.

This lovely condition ring it is ready to gift or to wear.

The quality shines, this jadeite ring is a one of a kind piece commissioned in the 1960s by a luxury jeweler.

Entirely made by hand, this pastel violet jade engagement ring is one of a kind. The astonishingly rare translucent natural pale lavender jadeite cabochon is luxurious and large. The beautiful jadeite jade in this handmade vintage ring is untreated. Apart from normal cutting and polishing it is as mined. These days most jade seen in modern rings has been acid treated, soaked in plastic resin and dyed. Untreated jade is immensely more valuable than modern treated jade.

Today we rarely see this quality and sadly most "handmade" rings are cast then polished but not handmade at all and were manufactured using CAD computer imaging design software with molds printed and cast. Stones can even be cast in place and not even set by hand! That means the stones are likely to be lost and the claws are brittle and uneven. These CAD rings do not have the quality of handmade gold rings and are unlikely to be able to be passed onto future generations but rather will be scrapped because of the porosity of the metal and other factors of casting using this cheap technology. This handmade ring is quality and will stand the test of time. It is an heirloom jewel like no other.

The organic setting with diamond set sparkling accents is the finishing touch to a masterpiece. What a perfectly sumptuous estate jade ring this is!

The gold ring itself is marked 14K and tests confirm the same.

It weighs 10.4 grams. Of heavy and luxurious construction no cost was spared making this custom made ring.

An impressive piece the central jadeite cabochon weighs 19.6 carats and measures 19.2mm long by 14.1mm wide by 7.2mm tall. The top of the ring extends 21mm along the finger as it is on the hand and rises 12mm high.

There are 0.48 carats of VS/SI claw set sparkly untreated natural earth mined round brilliant cut fine white diamonds F/G/H in color. All the diamonds are eye clean.

The total precious lavender jadeite and diamond weight in this ring is approximately 20.08 carats.

It is currently a size 7 3/4 US sizing (P United Kingdom and Australia ring sizing). It is sizable.
