A word you saw once is not a word you know.

Every vocabulary tracker on Etsy counts the same way: words seen only go up. It feels good and it lies - a learner who saw 400 words three months ago and never reviewed half of them still "knows" 400 words on that sheet. This one does the subtraction the others skip.

THE CLOCK YOU NEVER SET

Nowhere in this workbook do you type "last time I reviewed this word." That date comes from your own review log - a lookup straight off every session you actually logged. No review logged, no false credit: the clock starts on the day you first saw the word instead.

And the clock does not run at the same speed for everything. Core words like "ser" and "tener" hold for 24 days without a review. Idioms and one-off topic words - the ones you barely use - fall stale in 6 to 9. Four categories, four intervals, yours to edit in Setup.

THE WEEK THE LEDGER TURNS RED

Ten weeks of history, tracked like a bank ledger: words learned in, words gone stale out, balance carried forward. Net Change turns negative for the only time in ten weeks. Then the pace recovers. You do not have to trust that the model subtracts - you can watch it happen.
