Highlights

Osteospermum is offered as a packet of 100 seeds for ornamental garden growing. The genus is widely known in horticulture as African daisy or Cape daisy. This listing identifies the seed only at genus level and does not assign an unverified species, cultivar, flower colour, or growth habit. The packet contains seeds, not live plants.

Osteospermum is an accepted genus in the daisy family, Asteraceae, and includes many species with different habits and flower characteristics. For that reason, the photographs provide a representative botanical reference and should not be read as a guarantee that every plant from this seed lot will look identical.

Sow in a clean container filled with a fine, free-draining seed-starting medium. Moisten the medium before sowing and distribute the seeds with enough space to observe individual seedlings. Follow locally appropriate guidance for covering depth and temperature. Keep the medium evenly moist without waterlogging, and provide bright light with gentle air movement after emergence.

Thin crowded seedlings and pot them on when they are sturdy enough to handle. Acclimate indoor-raised plants gradually before outdoor exposure. Choose a garden position or container according to local light, temperature, wind, and rainfall conditions. Avoid prolonged saturation around young roots.

Store unused seeds sealed, cool, and dry, away from direct sunlight and excess humidity. Germination time and final performance vary with seed condition, climate, season, and growing practice; no fixed germination percentage or garden result is guaranteed.
