Highlights

English Wallflower Mix offers 100 seeds of Erysimum × cheiri for ornamental garden growing. This is a mixed wallflower seed packet, not a live plant. The mix may produce natural variation in flower colour and plant form, so the photographs show the type rather than a guaranteed result from every seed.

Erysimum × cheiri is the accepted botanical name for the familiar English wallflower, a member of the Brassicaceae family. The Royal Horticultural Society describes wallflowers as short-lived evergreen perennials that are commonly grown as biennials. Their four-petalled flowers are valued for fragrance and occur in a broad range of colours across cultivated forms.

Sow in a clean, free-draining seed-starting medium at a season suited to your local climate. Keep the medium lightly and evenly moist without leaving it waterlogged. Provide good light and airflow after emergence. When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin or transplant them carefully and acclimate indoor-raised plants gradually before moving them outdoors.

Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil. Wallflowers suit cottage-style planting, mixed flower borders, edging, and containers where their scent can be appreciated. Avoid persistently wet ground, especially around young roots. Local sowing dates, winter protection, and watering frequency should be adjusted for climate and growing conditions.

Store unused seeds sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excess humidity. Germination timing, flower colour, fragrance strength, mature size, and final performance depend on seed handling, temperature, soil, season, and cultivation, so no fixed germination percentage or exact flowering result is promised.
