🌸 Welcome to WildbloomQuilts - bold, colourful folk-art quilt patterns for makers who love vivid, joyful projects. 🌸

⚠️ TECHNIQUE - PLEASE READ FIRST: RAW-EDGE FUSIBLE APPLIQUE
This is a raw-edge fusible applique pattern. The templates print at FINISHED SIZE with NO seam allowance and NO dashed turn-under lines, and they come as numbered full-size layout sheets - not as separate cut-out pieces. You trace each shape onto paper-backed fusible web, iron it to your fabric, cut on the drawn line, peel, press it in place, and stitch over the raw edge with a blanket or narrow zigzag stitch. Paper-backed fusible web is required. This is NOT a turned-edge / needle-turn pattern, and there are no dotted seam-allowance lines to turn under.

A majestic humpback whale breaches dramatically from deep navy ocean waves, its sleek dark blue body streaked with soft cream and slate tones catching the last light of day. Behind it, a glorious sunset radiates outward in bold semicircular rays of gold, amber, orange, and red, while billowing folk-art clouds in hot pink, magenta, and violet fill the sky above. The ocean below shimmers with layered waves in deep indigo, teal, and cobalt, and a cascade of cheerful teardrop splashes frames the whale's powerful leap in pale aqua and mint.

Every element of this design has the jewel-bright, stained-glass quality that makes raw-edge fusible applique so thrilling to work with, rewarding quilters with rich colour play at every step. The bold graphic shapes are satisfying to cut and fuse, and the finished piece has all the drama of a statement wall hanging that stops people in their tracks.

Every pattern in this shop is my own work, from the first line to the last page. I draw each design by hand as an original vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator, then develop it into a ready-to-sew applique pattern - every cutting line, every fabric colour, every template page and instruction. Each one takes time and a lot of care, and I hope that comes through when you stitch it.

AI-assisted tools have been used to create or enhance some product mockups and backgrounds. AI is used for presentation purposes only and does not generate or alter the digital pattern/product being sold.
